The Entrace

Upon entering the massive showcase please be sure to grab a bag to store all of the information that hundreds of vendors will share with you.

This year the bags were green and presented by Dubai. The platinum sponsor were Turkish Airlines which whom I had the pleasure of flying then from Istanbul to Cairo. South Africa was the gold sponsor this year. Greece, Guadeloupe Islands, and MSC Cruises were all silver sponsors. Lastly, I ❤️ NY was the solo bronze sponsor but had a powerful presence this year.

#SeeFortWorth

Hey Y’all! I was absolutely floored when I spotted my hometown Fort Worth, Texas in the building. Out of the numerous travel shows I’ve attended this is a first to see the great state of Texas. To make matters more interesting they were proud partners of the L.G.B.T.Q. Travel Pavilion where they proudly boasted their slogan, “Y’all Means All”. The City of Fort Worth wants every one who visits Dallas to know that they are the “FW”in “DFW” and that we’re “WORTH” a visit too! Visit www.visitfortworth.com to find out why!

WeGO Travel Club

I try not to complain much when it comes to travel but we can all agree that luggage is a huge inconvenience at times. With baggage fees going through the roof, travelers are considering new alternatives. Enters WeGO Travel Club. CEO and President Carlton W. Chandler saw the problem and created a solution. You simply visit www.wegotravelclub.com, pay and print your shipping label, schedule pick up or drop off at UPS or FedEx, Enjoy your travels with no baggage, and meet your bag at your destination! Brilliant! This service is also great for large family, event specialist and savvy business travelers.

Margaritaville Mermaids

As if I needed another reason to visit Margaritaville…but ummm am I tipsy or are those mermaids on stilts? Either way sign me up for their resorts, food, casinos and adventures. Visit www.Margaritaville.com Come for the margaritas and stay for the mermaids!

I ♥️ New York!

I’m really proud to call New York City my home for the last 10 years. I think they really nailed their pavilion and I spent a lot of time learning along about local destinations like the Poconos, Catskills and Finger Lakes. Yes it’s true New York in so much more than it’s 5 boroughs. Visit www.IloveNY.com for more information.

Travel book signing.

This year I was absolutely thrilled and grateful to see an independent book selling service facilitating book signings. Books on Call NYC are very passionate about serving the literary community. This is a community that I hope to be come a part of in the very near future. Until then show your support by visiting and joining the community www.facebook.com/BooksOnCallNYC.

Overall if you are a travel lover or a travel business, The New York Times Travel Show is a great way to gather information and potential clients. It’s also a really fun way to network and connect with like-minded travelers. I’m looking forward to more inclusion of women of color, multi-cultural panels and niche travel brands. What are you most looking forward to for 2021?
