After circling the globe for a year I had a story to tell, I just didn’t know where to begin. There were so many significant moments on my journey that I felt overwhelmed about what bits to share. In comes Damesly a female forward tour company which curated a weekend in Denver, Colorado for writers. Here are 5 reasons why you should book a tour with Damesly today!
1. All tours are hand picked with women like you in mind. Kelly Lewis is a modern day maven who has created unique brands around uplifting women in the travel space. You may know Kelly for her annual travel conference called Women’s Travel Fest or maybe you have a copy her hot pink Go Girl Guides that share travel tips for women by women. Damesly currently offers tours in Colorado, Arizona, Hawaii and Morocco.
2.You don’t have to worry about any thing. After galavanting around the world for a year I was in no mood to plan another jaunt. Damesly invites you to bring only an open heart, an open mind and ok maybe a toothbrush. Everything but the flight was included, I literally just needed to show up and I’m so glad I did.
3.You will bond with other women. It was truly a pleasure meeting the other women on this tour. We laughed, we cried and we ate ice cream together. What I love the most is that everyone had a story to tell and you’d never guess it just by looking on the outside. We are full of love, strength and courage.
4. You get to participate in activities that you don’t often get to do. On the Damesly Writing & Riding Tour we rode horses, went whitewater rafting and completed writing exercises daily. The activities were so much fun and a great way to get inspired by the world around you.
5. There aren’t any tours like Damesly! I recommend booking a tour with Damesly. You will get an opportunity to see the city with fresh eyes, all activities are included, and there’s never a dull moment.
Bonus: Donuts!!! Because …donuts!
Thanks to an amazing weekend Writing and Riding in Denver. I feel more motivated and inspired to write my travel memoir. I learned that you should write badly, meaning just get it all out and worry about the edits later. Also, you should make a habit to write daily even if it is just for 5 minutes. It really does make all the difference. Lastly, I learned to share my story openly and honestly with others with the intention to inspire them to also share their story with the world.
